Programme

The journey begins in Amelia, following its ancient Cyclopean walls and the Rio Grande canyon, through holm oak forests and sections of the historic Via Amerina. After a stop in the charming village of Sambucetole, the trail continues through Mediterranean woodlands to the picturesque hamlet of Collicello. Arrival at the Renewable Energy Park (P.E.R.) for dinner and overnight stay.
Today’s hike leads through majestic holm oak forests, chestnut groves and rolling hills to the village of Macchie. The route continues across woodland trails and open meadows to Porchiano del Monte, where you’ll enjoy a scenic walk along its medieval walls. Return to the P.E.R. for dinner.
Today’s route crosses vineyards, open countryside and Mediterranean scrub, passing the Convent of the SS. Annunziata and the historic Comunità Incontro at Molino Silla. After walking through Montecampano and its fossil-rich clay valley, the trail reaches the village of Fornole. Return to the agriturismo for dinner.
The final stage follows woodland paths and panoramic viewpoints overlooking the Tiber Valley, passing through Foce and the Rio Grande valley. The route returns to Amelia along the ancient Via Amerina and its impressive polygonal walls. At the Archaeological Museum, pilgrims present their stamped credential and receive their completion certificate beside the famous bronze statue of Germanicus.
